Bad news, Elon: the first electric RAKEDE is taking-off in Hamburg, not in the valley!
We invested almost two years in the development of this first singlespeed e-bike from bonvelo. The design makes it a bonvelo - and it is hard to recognize the RAKEDE Boost as an E-Bike on the first sight. The powerful engine is located in the rear-hub and boosts this bike in 5 different levels up to a speed of 25km/h.
As on all our other bikes we designed an e-bike for everyday use. Due to the newest generation of batteries it is now possible to integrate them into the downtube of the bike and reach a good range at the same time. Handling of the bike is typically as you may know it from bonvelo: easy, self-explaining and free of useless gimmicks. Surely you can ride the RAKEDE Boost without having a dedicated app on your mobile device: you simply need to switch on the robust control-display and choose your individual level of support. Even at high-speed the powerful hydraulich disc-brakes (new in 2021) from Tektro are slowing you down in a very safe way. Even without electric support you can ride this bike easily due to the light weight of roughly 15kg.
The frame is made of robust and light 6061 aluminium, finished in polished aluminium or decent matte-black design. The singlespeed e-bike RAKEDE Boost is equipped with a complete Gates Carbon Drive CDX group (crank-set, belt-drive front/rear, center-track belt with 118T) - the CDX-line is the premium product from Gates Carbon Drive. The belt is running smooth and almost noiseless, free from grease or oil - so your dress stays clean during the ride. Already in the standard-version the bike is rolling on premium "WTB Riddler" tires in 37mm width. Every bike comes with a (StVZO-approved) LED-set for front and rear.
This new singlespeed e-bike is now available in two sizes (54cm/59cm frame-heigt) and two colour-options: raw aluminium and matte black.

The first RAKEDE Boost is now available for test-rides in our showroom Hamburg and at our partners from Listnride in Berlin, Dusseldorf and Munich.
