It’s the worst feeling: You come out of the supermarket and your beloved bicycle is GONE. Roughly 1,000 bicycles are stolen each day in Germany, and only about 10% of these thefts are solved by police. Cyclists like us tend to have a very emotional relationship with our bikes – and of course the material loss is also a factor. Even the best bike lock in the world can’t provide 100% theft protection, but if you keep a few things in mind when choosing the right bike lock, you can certainly make things as tough as possible for bike thieves.
