Wearing lights on the helmet high up on your head has several advantages. First, it enables to be seen easier and better on the road. You are less likely to be overlooked by parked cars or other street vehicles. Second, your helmet's lighting allows drivers to see where you are looking at and thus, be more predictable. Chips on Board (COB) is an LED construction method that has many advantages over conventional technologies. It allows for a more compact footprint whilst delivering a higher intensity of light meaning you will be seen from further away. It is also what gives the lights a more uniform look. The Lumos Ultra MIPS+ has, in addition, integrated automatic brake lights that are activated by an acceleration sensor.

The integrated MIPS system is completely new to this model: a system integrated into the helmet absorbs forces that can occur in the event of fall much better than a normal bicycle helmet without this technology.

It is the best-ventilated helmet from this successful USA start-up until the moment. The team developed a technique that allows the Ultra to direct air through its internal ventilation system. The helmet has three large rear outlets to ensure that hot air is pushed out and keeps riders cool and fresh whether they are commuting or on a sporty ride.
