Highly sensitive integrated sensors register your movements 200 times per second. If the Hövding airbag registers a fall, the airbag gets released in just 0,1 seconds and wraps your head and neck with a thick air cushion. The neck area is, in particular, enormously benefited in a direct comparison with a bicycle helmet, since it is not covered or protected with them.
The Hövding is active by a magnetic lock and can be easily deactivated when there is no risk of fall or accident, effectively preventing unnecessary airbag activations.
